The biggest recurring saving for most seniors is the pharmacy discount day. Shoppers Drug Mart runs its seniors day on Thursdays for shoppers 65+, Rexall has its Advantage 55+ program, and most banner pharmacies have some version of one. Hearing, vision and more

Hearing aid clinics and optical chains run periodic promotions aimed at seniors, and some offer standing discounts. These change often, so we only list the standing programs in the directory, and we check them again on our regular cycle.

Staying active

Many recreation centres and pools offer senior rates and passes. Check your municipal recreation guide: it is often the best deal in town.
