Landmark Cinemas: Senior Prices and Senior's Day

Landmark Cinemas sells a Senior ticket to guests aged 65 and older, and the category appears on the official page of every theatre we checked, in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Landmark sets the price at each theatre rather than for the chain, and the price also shifts with membership tier, so there is no single national senior price to print. What we can print is the range the theatres themselves publish.

At the Waterloo, Ontario theatre, senior prices run from $9.75 to $11.25 with the online booking fee counted in, against regular prices of $13.00 to $14.50. The other theatres checked, among them theatres in Caledon, West Kelowna, Regina, Kingston, Calgary, Saskatoon, and London, fall in a similar range. Your own theatre page shows the exact figure for your showing.

How to claim it

1. Open your theatre page on the Landmark site and choose the Senior ticket for each guest aged 65 and older.
2. For the extra saving, go on a Monday, when the Senior’s Day offer applies at the theatres checked.
3. Bring photo ID that shows your age, in case staff ask for it at the door.

Senior’s Day is the fine print that matters most: every theatre page checked publishes 20% off admission and concessions on Mondays. Booking fees are separate. The online booking fee is $1.50 if you are not a member, $1.00 for EXTRAS Movie Fan members, and free for EXTRAS Insider and Club members. There is no booking fee at the box office or the kiosk, and surcharges for premium formats are extra.

Practical tip: if you watch films often, compare the Monday senior price with a membership tier before you settle into a routine. The fee savings alone can cover the gap after a handful of visits.
